Hey Folks! Me and my GF are new to the Bronco scene. We live in Marina Del Rey. We just got our Bronco Raptor. Looking forward to making new off-roading friends. We have a cabin in Big Bear. We are looking to explore some cool off road trails there. We have zero off-road knowledge... We will be going to Bronco Bash!!

Here are some pictures of "Betsy!"

Looking forward to next weekend! Any Tips before going, as to what to pack would be great! :)

Welcome to the brotherhood! Not that you'll need it but it's always a good idea to carry a recovery kit. Basically a tool bag with a recovery strap and a couple of soft shackles. That way if anything happens and you need a tug from someone, at least you can provide your own gear. Also recommended is a 2-way radio. Most of us in So Cal Broncos use race radios (ham) but a lot of the newer guys use GMRS, so best practice is a dual band radio that can do both. Hand held ones can be had fairly inexpensively and there are several threads on them here on the forum if you want to look for the info. Next handiest would be equipment for airing up and down. We do that when we hit the trails to get better traction and make the ride more comfortable. There are tons of options out there so I won't go over them here. Yes you can have fun without airing down, or perhaps someone will let you borrow their gear so it's not a deal breaker if you don't have that stuff. The list could go on and on with tool kits, first aid, fire extinguisher, etc. but you don't have to have all of that, you can gather it little by little as you get into the hobby and learn. Other than that just make sure you have food and water for the trail, dress in layers for the weather, and do your research on trails and schedules before you head up. See you in Big Bear!
