Yes, but not in a car. Thats what I would use in my racing motorcycle. Standard anti-freeze when dumped all over a racetrack can make for a very very very bad day. It's ability to keep the engine cool is superior to your average coolant, but do NOT leave it in during the winter.

"Winter" , what/when is that? I'm in California.

Seriously, would/should you run it in a Bronco? This is probably a dumb question and maybe the instructions on the bottle would say, but do you just use (01) bottle and the rest distilled water, or do you add a bottle of this with concentrated coolant, or 50/50 mix?

Thank you in advance for your time/help,

Sonny

I can't remember the ratio but yeah you mix it with distilled water, definitely not standard coolant that defeats the purpose a bit.

It's only worth running in a vehicle like a Bronco unless you're running that motor pretty damn hard. It did drop the coolant temperature on my race bike a solid 8-10 degrees F. Do you really want to drain your coolant just to visit Big Bear in the snow? :)

On average I don't run coolant in my socal vehicles, I always run distilled water and some variation of water wetter. Since we don't have to worry about freezing, the distilled water works better for heat and the water wetter helps work as anti corrosion. It's also helpful in case of issues with overheating or failure that you don't risk getting coolant with its oil properties on any other sensors or parts.

I would switch out the thermostat to a high flow Robert Shaw it seems to lower temps by 5 degrees. What psi radiator cap do you have if 13, go to a 16 psi. And if you need more get a high flow water pump. Do you have a full shroud? BC Broncos makes a really large shroud if it fits.

I have run Water Wetter in the past. I don't do so now. Nothing that I have is running that close to the ragged edge and I want everything to be able to work in real winter weather. If you are racing there is good reason to use it in place of a coolant mix. Not so much for anything else. If running it tips the scales in favor of not over-heating then the system needs to be thoroughly looked at because you shouldn't need it in a Bronco.

Nvrstuk's thread on block pressure over on CB is worth reading. I have run into high flow t-stats making heating issues worse because in order to flow more water they have to reduce the block pressure. When you do that it makes it easier for the hot spots in the engine to locally boil the coolant. Which decreases the cooling at that spot, which increases the volume of the boiling coolant.
The brand of water pump that I and others have had the best success with, as discussed in that thread, is Stewart.

I always suggest running the new Organic Acid Technology or OAT based extended life coolant. Its backward compatible with all coolant, even old green stuff. Its far superior to green in every way especially protection and longevity. Green has not been put in a new vehicle since the 90s, its only a matter of time before gas stations and small autoparts stores do not stock it.

Wayne, that forced me into educating myself further. I just drained, flushed, and refilled the FSB's system and I had noticed that "normal" green coolant was not as abundant as it used to be, but I'd just figured that was due to the CV-19. Now I'm thinking that I should have done more research first.

Yes, used in all of my builds. You need to flush the system completely. Fill with distilled water, 2 quarts of straight antifreeze, and a bottle of this. It doesn't work well if you run 50/50 or with tap water.

It does work fine with tap water, but your cooling system won't like the minerals in tap water.

Prior to this product becoming available we used water soluble oil with straight water to do nearly the same thing. I've no doubt that this product is a better option.
