I been looking for a 3rd vehicle to have around the house. Nothing specific but today i ran across a '93 that looks pretty good but not sure on the actual value. I haven't seen what
the interior looks like but the dude lives pretty close so I'm meeting him tomorrow. Probably wont be a rock crawler for me, but who knows. Pic below for reference. TIA

I never owned one of these so I'm looking for any input you may have. And a couple questions.
1. what are the red flags I should be looking for?
2. are these generally considered good vehicles?
3. How much is too much $?
4. is this era know for anything exceptionably good or bad about the vehicle
5. I has 150k miles, what is gonna break soon?

Look clean from the photo, as far as the worth? Only you can decide what it is worth to you, for me , I would say $6,000 to $10,000, if it runs well.

5.0 or 5.8?

The OJ jokes get old pretty fast. Everyone thinks they're clever, and none of it is new.

Like an EB, beware of any lift that drops the radius arm brackets. Look at Solo Motorsports, Desolate Motorsports, and similar for real wheel travel kits that work. Brace your wallet, those kits are not inexpensive, but they are worth it. 4" will net you 35's easy and with decent shocks you will be amazed at how well it works.

The 8.8 rear axle is marginal IME.

Power Tailgate window, Plan on it not working sooner or later. Mine failed the wires where they transition from the body to the tailgate. Getting the window to move requires jumpering the motor, and there's not a lot of room in there to work in. If I could figure out a manual crank for it I would.

Read up on how desert racers clearance the center U-J in the TTB. Keep your wheel travel demands reasonable and that joint will live longer. RCV's are an option, BUT according to their service procedure the right side axle assembly has to come out every 3k miles to lube the center joint. The steering joints are easy, can do those just by pulling the locking hubs. Not that center joint.

For FSB tech you have two basic options that I know of. The Full Size Bronco (FSB) forum and the GoFastBronco (GFB) forum. The FSB forum has a lot of knowledge, and almost none of it relates to going fast. The GFB forum knows a LOT more about how to make a TTB work, and how to go fast in an FSB, but they don't have the depth of knowledge on other things like write-ups on how to wire relays into that rear window circuit. Which is fine.

Thanks guys, I saw it over the weekend. Not what I'm looking for. The pic above isn't current, has a body kit on it, gross. I'm gonna pass this one up.
