Clark Grade Closed

Thinking that I might lead an easy BBBB XXV run down the hill on Sunday, I headed out this morning for a pre run down the Clark Grade and came upon this very recent rockslide For the time being, the Clark Grade, 1N54, is limed to two wheelers. Now I just need to figure out how to turn around and head back up

Thanks. I had checked beforehand https://www.fs.usda.gov/r05/sanbernardino/conditions/roads and it wasn’t listed as closed.

Thread 'USFS Road Closures in 2026'

Know before you go and plan a route. While all the popular fun routes North of the Lake are open, both the Line Fire and Radford Fire closures are still in place. These are popular roads south of the lake for commuting to and from Big Bear the fun way. Please note if a gate is open, it doesn't mean you can be on that road, or that its safe. There are crews working them to get open. In the meantime I'm sharing some links for everyone to check:
