Hi everyone - from San Diego!
Recovering Former Jeep owner, I've made the switch. Is there a Bronco wave? I feel like there should be.
I've always loved the "earlier" Broncos, but never was around many of them in person. Jeep was a lot more accessible, and I've had some amazing times in them over the years, and with the community... with the big Bronco comeback, I've been interested... and 2025 was my year. I've found my way to this group and would love to connect with some local folks who get out there! I am driving a stock 2024 Bronco Raptor. Couldn't be happier, though I've accidentally called it a "Jeep" about 20 times. Hey, it's a process!
Mostly been out to Anza Borrego, some time out at Corral Canyon, but would love to get up to Big Bear with some folks who know their way around - between shuttling my kids to sports and work commits, I still find some time to wheel when I can.
Having been a part of the "Jeep Community" for a couple of decades, I always enjoyed the welcoming spirit - from the waves, to people who just stop to tell you that's a nice rig, etc. However, I guess those days are over. I'll never forget pulling up to the "Pumpkin Patch" out at Anza the first time in my Bronco - it was packed with Jeeps and side-by-sides... and it was like I had ordered a Pepsi in the Coke shop. A very different vibe now that I guess I'm not in that club - haha - I guess I'm just not that much of a purist - whatever gets you out on the adventure, right? It's great to find that Bronco is going strong and I hope to get a chance to meet many of you.
I'll be hitting the Off-Roadeo in Nevada in late March - looking forward to that. Anyone else been - any wisdom to share?
Otherwise, it's great to be the latest FNG - hope you'll say hello.
