BBBBXXIV Saturday Balky Horse > Rattler Loop > Burns Canyon (easy-moderate)

FoMoCo MoFo
I plan on doing this run on Saturday, any takers? I ran this loop last year, and it was an easy-moderate fun run. Should be the same this year, depending on trail conditions.
Meet up at 9:00 am at The Journey Church 800 Greenspot Blvd, Big Bear, CA 92314
May be a long-ish day on the trails, so please come prepared with food/snacks/lunch/fluids, etc.
Handheld, H.A.M. or gmrs radio is highly recommended, but not required. Will confirm frequency at the meet up location.
Please be aware of the possibility of receiving some desert pin-stripes, etc.
Will update as necessary. No vehicle limit, no rules!

Thanks for leading this run Jason! I'll give it a cover image and feature to help get eyes on it. I know you've done the Round Valley to Heartbreak portion of this because I rode with you :) Rattler Loop is about on par with some of the tougher parts of the Round Valley section.

For those not familiar with the route @BrickNoseFSB is running, it's pretty much the one described in This Post. Have fun everyone!

Bricks gotta stick together!! Ill be joining your run.
Awesome, glad to hear it! Should be a fun series of trails. Can be a long day, so pack a lunch, plenty of fluids, etc. but depending how many vehicles we get it should be much quicker with fewer rigs. Do you have a hand held radio?

Looking forward to the run. Yeah I have a handheld ham.

Sounds good! What are the specs on your Bronco? Tire size, etc? As of 1 year ago Balky Horse to Burns Canyon, there were no crazy hard obstacles. I saw a recent YouTube video from 3 months ago of a guy doing Rattler Loop in a bone stock Lexus. I will "pencil" you in on the list, but please confirm once you decide. I hope to meet and wheel with you!

Thank you! I have a stock 2-door Badlands on 33" KO2s. I'm a bit nervous about the high narrow shelf part of the trail but it seems like I'll have to navigate at least one on most trails. I'm just going to have to suck it up, please make me official for this run. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone.

Done! Awesome, yeah I'm in a wider than stock FSB, so If I can make it you should be ok. There are always bypasses and worst case scenario, can always turn around. Glad to hear you will be joining us!
