Bought it bone stock still with the original running boards. Removed those and installed a 5.5 superflex kit and set it on some 35s. Next step is building some shock and spring towers and see what its capable of.
For TTB vintage Broncos there is a wealth of posted knowledge at GoFastBroncos. I use mine not as a pure desert pre-runner or as a pure rock crawler, but somewhere in between; and I'm finding that the pre-runner stuff crawls really danged well. Not even the F-250's D50 TTB relieves you of the weakest point in these front axle; they all use the same U-Joint at all three locations. The key to keeping the center U-J from grenading is to clearance the yokes so that they do not bind at extreme droop. As-built they will and then parts go BANG! Helps to be careful of the skinny pedal when drooped like that. Most of my front axle hardware came from Solo Motorsports but the axle clearancing you have to do yourself.
