    Hydro Assist Location

This is how I originally mounted it and it tracked fine, but angle is pretty aggressive. Upon further inspection, I think the ram bent when the tie rod got hit and flexed; not from the mounting location. Either way it can be improved upon so my thought for now is to flip the tabs so I get an...

    Hydro Assist Location

Thanks. I ended up making up a couple of new tabs that are 1/2 inch longer than what came with the ram to help push the back out from the axle housing a bit to allow for the tie rod mount to be adjust back in towards the axle to hopefully straighten it out a bit. Where I originally mounted it is...

    Fabulous Fords Forever 2022

I emailed them a few weeks ago with no response. Anyone happen to know if your vehicle reg fee covers you and passengers in the EB or if you/they have to pay the spectator fee on top of vehicle reg? Currently ram assist is back to Texas for repair so not sure if it’ll be back in time for me to...

    Hydro Assist Location

I’m going to investigate that route and hopefully with a little heat, straighten out the ram.

    Hydro Assist Location

Only spot I can see is to tack the tabs over the riser mount bolt which in theory that bolt should not have to come out specially now that I’m thinking of it, I’ve welded the riser plate onto the axle housing as well (I’m now remembering doing that and smacking my head that I didn’t realize that...

    Hydro Assist Location

That was my first inclination when mounting it, but the cylinder will hit the diff cover as it tracks back and forth. I’m guessing I’m going to have to fabricate some sort of spacer or extend the ram tabs to the track bar riser mount to bring the back of the ram cylinder towards the front making...

    Hydro Assist Location

I thought I had a solid mount location for my redneck ram as it tracked smoothly, but alas, it’s not parallel enough to the tie rod and bent a little. I mounted the cylinder to the Duff track bar riser plate and it’s too far back from the tie rod. I’m having a bit of time thinking of other areas...

    Rutherford

Here’s a little of where it started to how it’s going. I do 99% of the work on it. Still getting motivated on compiling all the updates over the years from various photo storage sources, but figured I’d drop a “tl;dr”. Pretty much everything is in my signature.

Motor4Toys Woodland Hills Sunday, Dec 5th

Calm, cool balmy 47 degrees on the way up! Only EB there until a 68 grocery getter arrived towards the end. Few pics of the event. The boy was enamored.

Motor4Toys Woodland Hills Sunday, Dec 5th

http://www.motor4toys.com/ Used to attend this during my VW days, but now that I’ve moved onto to EB’s and my son is now of age to enjoy, I plan on attending this year in Rutherford. It’s early.. Gates 6:30am, show 7-12 and admission is one unwrapped toy or toys totaling $20 in value. It’d be...

    Rowher Flats run 11.24.21

It was a good, albeit windy, run. Hit all the “hard“ spots and not a single squeal of the PS pump. Now onto the turkey!

    Awesome

Thanks for this! Now I can fully get off FB and shoot the shit here! I’ve been on the SoCal Bronco email group since I bought my 71 back in 2009, but only been present in person the past few years. Usually I’m on CB.com so it’s very nice to have our very own forum. Thanks Dusty! ~Daniel
