Thanks! I did a bunch of poking around of the various kits after posting this and reported back on the cb.com thread you were on. I like the Hydratech setup a lot.
Another thought to ponder... Currently running General Grabber X3’s that are 72-74lbs a tire. They handle pretty good with my setup of 28 spline, small bearing and vacuum powered front disc brakes. I see a handful of 37’s that are around the same weight per tire or even lighter. Think I’d expect...
Yeah so I don’t get it... Just went through the rear end triple checking/tightening everything and swapped out u joint and the vibration actually seems worse! Starts now at 35 mph rather than 50... quite aggravating.
Yeah everything is still there and tight. Just seems odd for this to occur on a trail I’ve done many a times with this setup. Specially since I usually hit all the “hard” spots and this time I took it easy.
Now the great CB.com debate... Duff’s torque tamer, WH wrap trap, or ???
Went for a quick stint up to Rowher Saturday and took a newbie up in his stock Taco so didn’t really do anything worth mentioning except I did one obstacle I’ve done many times with no issues. I did get into some loose stuff half way and had to renegotiate the line, but didnt do anything...
I’m looking to go beadlocks when the time comes to retire the 35’s so I’ll be shopping for a new/good used set.. I suppose by the time that happens, there will be no 37’s with a 15” hole option..
When the time comes, I’m thinking of bumping up to 37” tires. Currently I’m 35’s on 15” wheels. Would also be looking into beadlocks. I do like the look of 15” wheels on our EB’s and prefer to keep it that way, but wasn’t sure if there are any advantages performance wise going to 17” wheels...
Who’s running what?
Looking for recommendations on a setup. Don’t mind piecemeal-ing a setup to save some dunkets, but also not opposed to a kit. Hydratech seems to be a pretty solid kit directly from them, but they’re at least 120 days out. Or if anyone has anything you‘re looking to unload...
Happy 4th everyone! Post up some Broncos and BBQ pics this weekend! I’ll be sparking the offset stick burner mañana stacked with swine, bird, salmon and whatever else fits.
