I have been looking to acquire patches from the four off-roadeo locations. So far, I have only been able to find the generic off-roadeo patch online, but cannot find any patches from the four locations specifically. Just curious if anyone else has found them anywhere, and if so, where/how they...
Welcome! This is a great community, and you will definitely learn from the masters. I highly recommend attending the Big Bear Bronco Bash in June. It is a great time.
There should be. I have called them several times already and each time, the front desk has said that the manager has not adjusted the rates on their website for that weekend yet. I went ahead and booked a cabin at the regular rate and will have them pro-rate me once I’m there. Didn’t want...
This is probably gonna be a less-popular opinion, but I didn't want a big ol' compressor that I constantly had to hook up to my battery, and long hoses to connect to all four tires simultaneously. I'm new to all this, so I just wanted something simple. I ultimately went for the Milwaukee M18...
Perfect! It’ll be here tomorrow. I’ll read the manual cover to cover when I get it this week but I think I speak for a lot of the new guys on this thread when I say that any in-person assistance with setting these up would be greatly appreciated. Or even a YouTube video from you in the future...
@KVBadlands Just out of curiosity, what comms/radio did you go for? I've read the radio threads here a dozen times and did some YouTubin' as well and I still can't make heads or tails of it. I'm a newbie as well and that's one of the last things I can't figure out.
Anyone have experience with tie rod sleeves as a temporary solution? Those Icons are nice, but a little out of the price range. BroncBuster’s got a sleeve for $400 and Rough Country has one for only $45. Any recommendations on those, or just wait and do it right with an Icon job?
Any specific suggestions for the handheld radio (#4 on @BadSquatch’s list)? I followed the radio threads down the rabbit hole and you weren’t kidding - it gets confusing quick. Any specific suggestions on which handheld one(s) to look into would be appreciated for us newbies.
No sir. Not anymore. I am down in San Diego now. I was just back up there in March for a work thing. It was nice seeing the old stomping grounds again. Prior to that I hadn’t been back up there in a few years. There are times when I really do miss the SCV.
I’ll try and introduce myself at...
That's really really good advice. Thank you both for the info. I don't plan on going up to 37s anytime soon, but might still look into those stronger tie rods anyway so I don't end up stuck out on a trail somewhere. Weird that that has been identified as a legit deficiency in these cars and...
Sounds good. I feel like OnX vs Gaia is akin to a Ford vs Chevy debate in that they're all great (although that may be a bad example - Ford makes the Bronco). I'll look more into OnX. Thanks Dusty.
