I am not new to off-roading but waited 20+ years for the Bronco and have been off-roading throughout the state except SoCal other than Death Valley and Bronco Knoll. I guess this is a no better place to start since I really want to complete the mini-Rubicon before hit the Nor Cal trail.

My suggestion is that if you want to get ready for the Rubicon, you want your way up in difficulty in order to learn your limits, as well as your Bronco's limits and what those are together. Here's the trails I would suggest you do in this order:

Gold Mountain Trail (3N69)
Dishpan Springs Trail (3N34)
Holcomb Creek Trail (3N93)
John Bull Trail (3N10)

Some would suggest that you do those last two the other way around. As I see it, they are actually pretty equal so it's dealers choice. Also, as you know, trails change from year to year, so that might effect the order as well.

I will be hitting Gold Mountain and John Bull with the group at the BBBB XXIV, I have taken the Bronco on the back end of the Rubicon coming off surrounding trails.
