Today was day one of digging out the Bronco from the storage vessel it has become over the past 16-yrs... WAY too long to be without my Bronco! But family comes first. Glad to be here !

I Bought Indy back in 1989 with my summer working money. Then proceeded to build him up over the next couple of years. He was four different colors and had those old chrome and gold rims, but i loved him, and he was MINE! My boss at the time said "looks like something Indiana Jones would drive to escape the bad guys"...and the name stuck- Indy. After 3yrs he had a new James Duffs suspension, full roll cage, amd a 351W with GT40 heads and Holly Projection (1st generation, big deal back in early 90's!) And a fresh red paint job that I did in my Dad's garage. The last time we had Indy out was back in 2008, ran the John Bull trail, got a little door rash on last obstacle : ( then the tranny went out next day driving home from work... fast forward 16yrs, and finally today marks day one of getting him back out on the streets and trails like he deserves! After the door rash, decided to add rock sliders and start body work to freshen up the paint... so he is still in pieces all over the garage, but not for long 😀!

Hi Erika welcome to the brotherhood! (it's a figurative term-all are welcome LOL).That's a great story and it sounds like you've been doing most of the work yourself with is impressive. Looking forward to you and Indy joining us on the trails :)

Thanks Dusty! One advantage of painted finger nails...you can't see all the grease under them!
Garage time has always been my happy space, just don't get as much of it as I used to.
Feels good to be back on the path to getting Indy back out on the trails showing all the Heeps how it's done 😀! Hopefully by fall we'll be out there with you guys.
