I am planning to come out for the day on Saturday or Sunday of that weekend - not sure how it's going to play out just yet. Is there a meetup at a particular time? Just look for a pack of Broncos out there? What's the best way to find you?

We'll have a big circle of RV's out at approximately this location:

Since its the weekend before TDS, there won't be too many other folks out there so it should be easy to spot our camp. Just head in on North Marina Dr., go over the saddle between the two small hills, across the wash and up a little ways until before the road heads up into the hills again.

I would highly recommend camping out with us for the weekend. Trying to show up just for one day, getting to know everyone, getting oriented on where to go what to do, etc., will leave you short-changed on the fun you could have had. We'll probably have 30+ Broncos there, and we don't just all line up in a single file line and play follow the leader at a specified time. There will be several impromptu groups heading out at different times for different areas, and none of it is planned or scheduled. Just a bunch of folks hanging out and someone says "hey, let's head to the notches" or the phone booth or wherever. We do have some folks who love the higher speed stuff, with Raptors, pre-runners and desert-racing Broncos, who prefer a rip down to the Blu-Inn, while we have the heavily built Early Bronco rockcrawling guys who head for the narrow canyons, and the guys who like to take it easy on the more tame dirt roads. Then we all hang out around the campfire each night for a beer or three, kick tires and tell lies. It's a grand old time and if you just show up for a few hours you'll be jipping yourself LOL.

Listen - that all sounds like just the kind of grand old time I need, Dusty. I am unfortunately in the "Better than Nothing" phase of the year.

Great to know on the "format" - the Jeep clubs do like to line up and go, don't they? What you describe sounds a lot more up my alley.

I will come through and at least introduce myself when I can get out there so the lies can begin later. If there's a group heading out somewhere, that will be great. I can roll with it.

Well if it's just one day I suggest Saturday. On Sunday many of us will be packing up to head home.

Haha, well you attended the EARLY EARLY TDS... lol. The only thing better than one weekend in the desert, is 2 consecutive; I hope you can make it out THIS weekend too!
