My 57 F100 is in need of a C4 (1972) rebuild. I was hoping it was a bad torque converter, but after pulling everything and replacing, went for test drive and the original problem is still there. Everything is now pointing to the clutches. So I gotta pull it all out again and looking at a shop to go through the C4. I got one quote to rebuild with just the clutches for $1400! Looking for SFV options, but don’t mind a bit of a drive if there is a shop y’all recommend.
Or are clutches something not terribly hard to do on the bench?
TIA
