Bronco Daze 2024

Added to Calendar: 11/08/24, 11/09/24, 11/10/24

Dusty

I Started This Gangsta Shit
So Cal Broncos OG
WHEN: Friday-Sunday, November 8-10, 2024
WHERE: Bronco Daze HQ will be at the Palm Canyon Hotel & RV Resort, 221 Palm Canyon Drive, Borrego Springs CA 92004. If you stay here, you will have the luxury of lodging, swimming pools, food, with restaurants and gas stations nearby. They call that civilization.
WHO: We particularly welcome and bow to the 1966-77 Generation 1 “Early” Bronco that started it all, but any street legal 4WD is welcome
WHY: Seriously? A Bronco gathering in the no-where-else-in-the-world low desert (once below sea level), so you will 4-wheel on the ancient sea floor, unless you prefer to 4-wheel in the mountains just above us.
RESERVATIONS: www.PalmCanyonRVResort.com or 760-767-5341
COST: $10 on-site for your Bronco Daze dash plaque
EVENTS: We will provide maps for DIY runs all over the place, and we will lead specific runs to be selected later. A group photo will take place Saturday morning before the runs.
PREPARATION: We pick November because it is one of the ideal months to be in the low desert, but Mother Nature doesn’t read about our planning, so be prepared for cool to hot, dry to rain, calm to wind. For your Bronco (or other), a tow strap, fire extinguisher, water, and a first aid kit are basic needs. More is better such as a jack or winch.

I’ve got a couple Jeep buddies that I could invite. This is my first time. Unsure if this is just a Broncos Only event or not. Don’t want them to feel unwelcome.

I would like to, but the rooms are quite $$$ so trying to finagle my pops to roll out here in his RV from Colorado so we can squeeze cheeks on the cheap.

Interested! Never been to this event before. Will more info be posted here as it gets closer (i.e. time(s) to be there at, more run info, difficulty levels, etc.)?

Not necessarily. I relayed that information here from the Early Bronco Registry's post on Facebook. If you want up to date information on this event follow them over there.

Awesome. I will try and find it on there. Thanks Dusty.

Booked the Palm Canyon Resort for Sat nite (9)n We plan to head out early Sat am and be in Borro by 8 am. Run on Sat and Sunday, head back to OC Sunday eve. Unfortunately we can't be gone more than one night; animal care issues.
Also, I don't have or do facebook. Will try to figure things out. Hoping to catch up with some folks at the Hotel, Sat am.

Info posted today by Steve Sampson on Facebook:

DOS WEEKS TO BRONCO DAZE!
Here are some early plans for your consideration:
    • When you arrive, visit RV space 73 to register and to buy your Bronco Daze dash plaque ($10). Plaques are first come, first served, until gone. Maps and run suggestions will also be at space 73.
    • Friday will be DIY and informal runs.
    • Saturday will begin with a photo shoot in the morning. Run(s) will leave immediately after for a full day (pack a lunch). We will end the day with a pot luck dinner in the Bronco Pass picnic area (see photo). Bring your own dinner, and ideally a side dish or dessert to share.
    • Bronco Daze isn't about suffering! You can live like a king at the many restaurants, including enjoying a beautiful sunset at the Rams Hill Golf Course Restaurant (see photo).
