1977 Bronco needs transmission work

Hey there everyone. New to your site and hope to get some solid info. I have a 1977 all stock Bronco that was purchased new by my dad in 1977. I need a reputable referral to someone in the San Diego area that is familiar with the stock transmission. It has always been somewhat jerky when put into gear especially reverse. I would really like to have this fixed, if possible. Thanks so much.
